About Me

I graduated from Michigan State University in 2010 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in integrated science. After graduation, I substitute taught for a year in the Metro Detroit area. Since then, I have been teaching technology through Brighton Area School’s Share Time Program.

In August 2015, I will be graduating from Michigan State University again with a Master of Arts degree in Educational Technology with a graduate certificate in Online Learning and Teaching. Currently, I use desktop computers, Google Chromebooks, iPads, SMART boards, and various other technology tools to help enrich my teaching and further my students' learning of technology.

Outside of teaching, one of my biggest passions is trying new things. I have participated in Tough Mudder twice in Michigan and Ohio, went on a ziplining tour in Missouri, and will be starting marksmanship classes soon. I have several things that I want to partake in as well: rock climbing, sky diving, scuba diving, snowboarding, and many more.

During my limited free time I enjoy relaxing by water and reading a good book. Some of my favorites are Memoirs of a Geisha, Harry Potter series, Girl with a Dragon Tattoo trilogy, Hunger Games trilogy, and Game of Thrones series.

I am also a big Pixar and Cirque du Soleil fan. You are never too old to watch an “animated” movie or go to the circus. Some other things I enjoy are board games such as Clue and game apps such as Clash of Clans. I am certainly a child at heart.
